No, he left the season before but played with those guys. Always a little shocked how much some of these role player type guys make

Perfect situation for them also. Make a hell of a lot of money while not having to deal with the hassles of being a famous celebrity.

After retiring, if the guy does not move back to BR or Louisiana no one would even know who he is. He can go shopping or out to eat and not be bothered by people wanting pictures and autographs.

Davis made more than that in fewer years and he gets to have more fun in the Big 3 now.

I’d be shocked if GT’s net worth wasn’t close to 10 x Big Baby’s.

8 or 9 years ago I was working at AT&T in Baton Rouge, and BB came in with his mom. His monthly bill was over $20k. And there weren’t even that many different phone numbers on there, but they were all separate with every feature you could possibly think of on each. It was almost impressive how the bill was so high. And he could have had everything he had for about $1k(maybe even $800ish) with some simple bundling, but he wouldn’t hear of it. It was in his name, but the billing address was some place in L.A., so I guess his agency or whoever took care of it (but with his money).

Now, that in and of itself was probably no big deal to an NBA player. But paying $240,000/year for cellphone service for you, your mom and some other family/friends when you could be paying $12,000 is just a microcosm on how he likely managed his money when it came to bigger things as well. Not to mention his legal issues. If dude is playing in the Big 3, it’s much more likely it's for the check than the “having fun” part.

Brandon Bass made about $38,000,000 in the NBA plus whatever he’s making in China.

Brandon's final year at LSU a NBA scout sat next to me during one of the SEC games. I asked what he thought of Brandon- and the scout said Brandon was not NBA material and would not have a career in NBA- I am glad Brandon did not listen to this guy!

Temple was the weakest link on the final 4 team. (Not to say he was bad or anything, was a good defender for sure.) but the other starters had way more accolades.

He’s the Ryan Clark/Ryan theriot of LSU basketball. Other decent to above average college players that translated into surprisingly long pro careers.

Tyrus could have been in the NBA a long darn time had he put it together. He had a lot of god given measurables and talent that should have kept him in the NBA imo. At least on the defensive and rebounding side of the ball.

So....I actually went to U-high and graduated as a 13 year senior, meaning k-12...And I was in the class behind garret and have known him as well as the other temples my entire life (just ran into Collis 3 the other day at Ichiban) and in truth the level of success hes had compared to Glen Davis, who everyone at school thought would have the longest and best career in the pros, is truly amazing. To see how far garret has come this past 15 years is something many people didnt think was realistic and he absolutely deserves to have every bit of it and more.

I must say I still love it when his team comes down to N.O. and I try to get tickets whenever he does, all because I'll make the walk down by the bench before the game starts and call out "G"!!! And I'm the guy who then has an NBA player walk out to him and get a hive five and hug from my old friend...And being the cool guy that knows the nba player and getting to walk back to my seats chest and head firmly planted as far out as possible....Love it....

He's always been the best character kind of guy his whole life and its no surprise to anyone who knows him personally that hes come so far in his pro career. Hes put in the work to be an elite defensive option which has honestly been what kept him in the league early on before he figured out how to get his points against guys that may be more athletic, but dont have the kind of upbringing and experience that my old friend G has.
