Actually seems to speed up when he cuts. This kid is the real deal.

I’ve heard a few people say that his tape is sped up in certain places to make him look quicker. I don’t know how true that is

Good luck passing up Florida and Ohio State. They have been recruiting him hard for a long time.

Gibbs has a gear that is a Reggie Bush like turbo charger that Evans does have. I am great with Gibbs.

Well Clemson and bama would prefer Gibbs over Evans but they already filled their needs and Georgia filled it's needs at running back plus Georgia added a 5 star rb Friday night not listed at this time

Living here in North Georgia, I am familiar with Gibbs. He has the moves, eye sight and speed, but rarely has to break tackles due to the very weak competition in that part of Georgia. Often it looks as if he is running through stationary cones and thus the 3 star rating. Georgia is loaded with talent, but very little comes from that part of the state compared to the rest of the state. However, he is a recruit we should go after.

Welp anybody that has read my posts know that I've been Gibbs over Evan's since he was brought to this board. I don't really care about the difference between a 5 star and 4 star when I can clearly see the 4 or 3 star is better. Now this isn't all the time, but I know there are several guys yearly where you can not fathom why they are not ranked much higher. Til this day I still can't see why Devin White and Derrius Guice weren't 5 stars. Obvious, insane talent, but not good enough for those Rivals/247 guys.

I don't understand how some people feel like they can learn all of the things they need to know about a players ability, just by watching a highlight tape from one or two seasons.

Highlight tapes aren't a true evaluation. Plus it's hard to evaluate film shot from the nose bleeds. I'd like to see the plays where the rbs get stuffed, that tells you quite a bit more, just my opinion.

I love the Gibbs kid! His tape is unbelievable! I would also take him over Evans! That Evans kid is nothing but a problem!

Am I the only one who thinks people who start posts with, "Am I the only one" are attention divas?

Of course you are not the only one. Almost everyone posting here was repulsed by Evans' theatrics and disciplinary problems.

Sure, but there are some guys where you just see it, and this is one of those guys. People were saying the same thing about Chase even though he was only the 15th rated WR, and they only saw highlight tapes. White tested insanely well at these combines, Guice showed out at things like the Army AA game, yet neither was good enough, with their tape included, to be considered 5 stars. After 2 years when they "re-ranked" recruits, Guice was the #1 RB and the #5 player in the country. If I can sit my arse on the couch and see that why couldn't they? Oh, and FTR, I still believe .Emery will go off next year.

We don't get Evans, and unfortunately for him and us we don't get Gibbs either. The one we do get is the next one down on the list. Still a highly rated back.

edit: clarification, just my opinion.

Most of the people on this board keeps slobbing over LSU isn't high on their lists because they clearly haven't been recruiting them hard. They put all their eggs in the Evans basket yet again and it's going to burn them. They're going to have to settle for someone way down the board and at this rate, it looks hopeful rather than a sure thing. There isn't a ton of stuff coming out from these recruits about LSU. Could be because it's a dead period. Will have to wait until it's over to see where the real interest is. So far there isn't much interest in LSU with the top remaining prospects.

Seems to me like that plan has worked out pretty damn well for us. Let's do it.

What division does Gibbs play in? Evans plays in the Texas top division so he’s played Power 5 level competition.
