re: Rob Maness endorses JBE ; backlash?

Maness is a carpetbagging, grifting piece of shite who can f right off back to any one of the half-dozen states he lived in before deciding to settle in here to start up a B.S. PAC and take suckers' money to fund quixotic purer-than-thou "conservative" campaigns for whichever political office happened to come up for election from week to week. That guy gave off a stench right off the bat during the Cassidy/Landrieu race, and he's now confirming once and for all that he was never serious about anything.

Compare Maness' behavior with Ralph Abraham's. Abraham got a whole lot closer to the prize than Maness ever did in any (pick one) of his runs, but when all was said and done on primary night Abraham immediately endorsed Rispone, began working behind the scenes on his behalf, and will campaign openly for his former opponent at Monroe's Trump rally -- a rally he was instrumental in bringing to the part of the state where it's needed most. Abraham has put what's best for the state above any personal feelings he might have had about what happened in the primary campaign. Those are the actions of a team player and a successful politician. Rob Maness' are the actions of a never-was loser whose main concern is his own vanity.

My family's been in Louisiana nearly 200 years, Rob. They didn't just flit in a few years ago after throwing a dart at a map to find a home base from which to bilk people out of contributions for DOA campaigns and do-nothing political organizations. Eddie Rispone was born in Baton Rouge seventy years ago and has spent his life working and building here, employing countless people and making a difference for many families. It actually matters to him, to me, and to a great many of us all what happens to this state. If your credentials as a true-conservative combat vet are going to be expressed by shooting the troops in your own foxhole the night before they go to do battle with the most destructive Democrat politician this state's seen in quite some time, then I at least thank you for making clear to anyone who didn't already see it what you're really all about.

So Rob, kindly see if you can put a hold on your mouth for the next week and a half so that actual conservatives and Louisianans can try to accomplish something substantive. Eddie Rispone might not have worn the uniform, but unlike you he's out there at a crucial time fighting to save his home, and ours.
