Minamino was absolutely my favorite player on the Salzburg squad.

So quick and active and plays easily on the wing or up the middle.

Which is likely why Klopp likes him so much. And at 7.25M? A stone-cold bargain.

I wonder what are the chances, since it seems the teams have been "negotiating", that one of Rhian Brewster or Curtis Jones is sent back to Salzburg on loan as part of the deal?

That is incredible news. He always made it sound like he’d never go past his original contract and would want to take a break from coaching similar to what he did at Dortmund

Way too much good shite has been happening basically all season outside of us facing Napoli

So Klopp rides off into the sunset after winning a handful of PL titles and another CL title, Gerrard comes in to lead us for the next decade

While I do think it was purely coincidental.. I dont think its a far stretch to seeing that scenario play out...

It'll be interesting to follow Gerrard's coaching career over the next few years... I'm glad he's gaining experience outside of a youth team and at a club with big expectations (regardless of what anyone thinks of the league).

I mean I half said it jokingly, but you're right, it's not far-fetched at all, especially if Klopp is as successful as we think he'll be over the next 5 years.

If I had told you in 2014/15 that we'd be where we are today, what would your reaction have been? I'd have probably laughed at you to your face honestly

you mean the season that ended with a 6-1 drubbing by Stoke City.. and our best young player wanting out?

It was a tough time made all the more depressing knowing we were forging ahead with Rodgers and all his stubbornness..

10/8/2015... everything changed..

Well, we ARE down to 2 first team CBs... so there's that.

But buying Minamino and re-upping Klopp makes me happy.

It’s massive news. I expected the sabbatical at the end of the contract. We’re the best team on the planet and I don’t see anyone poised to knock us off that perch

The unbearables

Love New Balance as a primary sponsor, really. I find absolute hilarity in just how many of me mates are perusing the shops of Ropewalks and the cafes of Aigburth in their shiny new 574’s.
