re: ULL going to Fan-Friendly Concessions Prices

I've said this for a while, I go to MB stadium here in Atlanta a lot and we always get a lot because the pricing is so affordable. Never feel the need to "Wait" for after a game or eat before it because concession pricing is ridiculous or just not very good.
Good food at an affordable price will yield higher revenue.

This is clutch. If Woodward made this switch, it would sit well with a lot of fans.
The Falcons set the trend, and I believe the statistics prove they make a lot more money.

Why does the Advocate consistently refer to ULL as UL?
Is it University of Louisiana? The one and only?

LSU needs higher prices to keep out the riff raff.
We are a top tier program and we don’t need a Wal Mart-esque atmosphere at our events.

Because their venues are not on campus.
That has nothing to do with it. It was a SEC rule or unwritten rule not to sell beer at sporting events. LSU really didn't have a say so on the matter until now.

Never been to a game I take it? The shitty, expensive concessions aren't keeping that crowd from going.

If anything, at least lower the price of a bottled water from 5.50 to like $3. Good lord.

If you stopped going, the crowd would already be an improvement. However, making it cheaper would just make the crowd worse.

those would be deadly beer prices with a 103 thousand people in a stadium

Seems like the two things we do best, bitch and shite.

You must not have been on campus, or even at a home game in the last 15 years have you?

Yeah, let’s fix it by making tickets & concessions more affordable

Talking about concessions while feeding the trolls is ironic. You are smarter than that Kracka.

This will attract dozens more fans per home game. Dozens.

But then ask yourself why ULL has a 40,000 seat stadium and home attendance averaging 16,000.
Ask yourself why LSU A&M has 100k plus stadium that average probably 65k? And plenty leaving at half.
Just saying

Who do you think are the majority of A&Me fans! I see more Troy Landry types than three piece suit types walking around with violet and school bus yellow attire on.

Because they are trying to sell papers in Lafayette.
No one in Lafayette is going to complain. Either they don't care or they believe they should be called "UL".
What the average LSU fan thinks will not affect sales in Lafayette.

And where the hell did you come up with those numbers for LSU averaging 65K? They haven't seen those numbers since 1999 maybe in Dinardo's last year.
quote:This is actually true for the OOC games... The games when season ticket holders either sell or more than likely give their tickets away because it's against a team nobody cares about (ULL being one of them).

This is what it looks like when you pull numbers directly out of your a-hole.
Look...as a USL alumnus and LSU season ticket holder since 2001, I'll agree that this thread lost it's way when it became shitting on USL instead of focusing on the point, which was concession costs and whether or not it would be a solid policy change at Tiger stadium.
That being said, this asinine statement that Tiger Stadium averages 65,000 is the kind of whiny arse Cajun small dick behavior that has always made me refuse to financially support the athletic departments of my alma mater. Your guess is literally off by the total number of fans that show up to the average USL home game.
Be better.

Let's just go with the number he pulled out of his arse (65,000). That's 65% capacity. ULL would give their left nut to have that kind of average attendance. Hell, that's why they're lowering the concession prices and have been practically giving away tickets for free for the last 20 years.
