Already existed, really. Parents can be arrested for disturbing the peace if they’re raising hell on a campus. Granted, in the context of officiating, it’s a higher standard but this is to prevent threatening them.

I cant either...I've actually never seen anyone physically threaten an official or umpire


I have seen plenty of officials and umpires receive tongue lashings but nothing that would warrant someone getting arrested.

The bill doesn't say that one must threaten an official to be in violation. It says the official, "feels threatened".

So it is solely a subjective decision of the official.

Again, dangerous precedent. Who does this "special class treatment" go to next? Some privileged political group. maybe?
