10-2 LSU would've gotten to play in the Sugar Bowl as the highest ranked SEC team that wasn't in the CFP.

11-2 LSU may have cracked top 5 ahead of Notre Dame.

17 wins next season

Ow'll settle for just 15. 17 May be raising the bar to a totally irreachable level.

Well we beat aTm and everyone saw it.

However, I’m very glad we didn’t go to the Sugar. The real Texas school would have hung 60 on us with our depleted D.

Gonna be an awesome game facing off at full strength.

I thought ny6 bowls outside of the playoffs were equal? How is sugar better than the fiesta?

Sugar typically takes the top sec school if they aren’t in the championship

For the first time since 2013 I feel like the team has a really good shot at making a title run next year

All of the pieces are in place

Ok that makes sense, but is that still true or a rumor from the bcs days?

I don't think so, but I don't believe that it had anything to do with LSU. I don't think the bowl committee would have put LSU vs. Texas in the Sugar Bowl when UGA was an option due to LSU's game vs. Texas next year.

LSU did beat A&M. The aTm TE caught the ball, fumbled and LSU recovered. Ballgame! My Aggie friend even congratulated me on the win.

You could try to be more wrong. But you would not be successful.

LSU beat aTm at least twice, Texas is restablishing itself as the daddy of the state

No we would have ended up in the sugar bowl against Texas. With our decimated defense, we would have likely lost, so it’s probably better for LSU to have lost to TAMU lol
