yea lost in that season was that Arkansas was legit the 3rd best team in the country and in their own division

I occasionally watch but I avoid it. Felt like JJ caused division on the team and in the end it was all for naught so it's simply too difficult to watch.

. This alone should have throwed up a huge warning sign as what was coming.

That defense and special teams were simply something amazing. I hate that our offense couldn't get it together against Bama.

Forget 1/9/12; that was inevitable once the rematch was announced.

This is the REAL wound that cuts deep:

Most wins/best record in college football against the toughest schedule and 1-1 vs bama. Auburn-Georgia or heck most any intradivisional NFL matchup can show the swings from game to game within a season. We won at their place. That team deserved a better place in history than they hold.

I remember that. The missed FG was controversial as well as it sailed over the post. Oklahoma State still should have gotten the championship berth in my opinion.

I remember ESPN talking heads saying that bama is the only team that can beat LSU so they deserve to play in the NC. That's not how it's supposed to work.

I remember that shite too. It was the beginning of this weird ESPN-Alabama relationship that continues to exist today.

I was so confident LSU was going to beat Arkansas that I had already purchased my SECC tickets 2 weeks before the Arkansas game.

I will forever hate Oklahoma State for fricking losing to an unranked 5-4 Iowa State team

Team had some some savages was a joy to watch

Yes. And a couple of those games look like they could be called the TM7 highlight show. Rewatching a couple of those games reminds me how we had a defensive back that literally took over the game and almost single handedly won those games. Best team we've ever had in my opinion.

Les Miles is the sole reason for 1/9/12. He let that team down and theres no other way to put it

That year feels like dating a super model then we screwed up the proposal, so she left us.

And now we’re dating 5s at best.

That entire season was negated January 9, 2012.

No. That's wholly inaccurate.

But I understand your need for a simplistic answer.

The talent was amazing, consider OBJ, J. Landry, and Mettenburger were all on that team.

Too Bad the Head coach was piss poor.

Have you ever seen less done with more? Regarding National Championship game.

I don’t care how the season ended. That is still arguably the best LSU team of all time.

Champions in my book.
