I don’t have the slightest clue what’s going on. Writing is also poor by his standards (and he’s not a prose master).
It started in non stop action that I found oddly boring, mostly because it was incredibly confusing.

I had same feeling. Secret project 4 was only one whose released chapters I had read before it came out so I knew who the focus character was and was pumped. The writing seemed off and he’s focused way too much on the science to make it seem real if that makes sense. His writing in Yumi and Tress were so much better as well. Was a fine read but I expected this to be the best of the 4 and I have it at 3.
