It's the truth and I don't care what a person has done in their past if they're willing to change and can play the game of football at a high level then you go get those dudes and bring them to LSU and never take no for an answer.

If we're relentless like that then we'll start getting them here. Maybe we need a better DL recruiter and coach in their eyes. You have to not only get a coach who can coach the position but one who can convince these big time recruits that there is no doubt he's the coach for them. Ed O needs to recognize this and get them to LSU.

He isn't going to be afforded all this time to keep making mistakes and not pay for them very soon. The bottom line is that we need someone who can get the players we need here when it's an easy year in the region or when it's not so easy. We don't have the time for off years. He needs to change this now. How ever he needs to do it, he needs to get it done in a way that's respectable.

I see talent being replaced at almost every position except DL and rush end. Who ever he needs to get here to identify those players then get them to LSU, O needs to get that person here ASAP. That's our missing link. That and either a new OC/QB coach/Badass recruiter or someone who can assist Steve E to get the job done.

I think what the OP is getting at is the several misses, near-misses, and interesting cases . . .

Jalyn Ferguson - Jazz's brother and from just up river.
Ed Oliver - from Houston; LSU "dream school"
Marvin Wilson - from Houston; NSD defection to FSU
Buggs - once committed to us
Simmons-apparently has LA connections

Any/all would be difference makers.

Just for the record Kramer Robertson's father was a All American QB for Louisiana Tech from Broadmoor in Baton Rouge.

This my point exactly. Our Dline does not have one game changer on it. We are not identifying and recruiting guys who are game changers in the trenches. We’re soft up front and it shows.

The 2019 class is short on Dline talent. 2020 will be much better.

Coach O is looking at bringing in Sean Salisbury as an analyst. I'm sure he can help the QB position tremendously. He may also be looking at another OC.

You mean Jason Hatcher? Played for the cowboys and skins and is from Jena. Or his uncle dewayne?

Pretty sure Jason was in the nfl at the time of the Jena 6, think he had a nephew involved so he moved his whole family out of town because it’s a shitty, closed minded place.

You can put that in the category of running down LA or not but Jena is the a-hole of La. and that’s saying something.

I'm not sure what you're saying here. If I'm not mistaken 6 guys jumped one and somehow they're the good guys. I must be missing something.

Simmons' dad was living in Olla and was convicted of sexual battery or something. That's why Mom moved them.
