so would you say it's impossible to have a top level offense with a top level defense?

It is rare for teams to have both.

would you favor a spread ala OSU, Clemson or OU?

What is a big12 offense and in what ways does it differ from Clemson's offense or Ohio State's offense or Bama's 2018 offense?

more proof that all of you are morons...i said it would hurt our defense.

More proof you are fricking idiot if you are more worried our defensive stats may drop some instead of winning the games, like Bama, that our Offense has to win. Which they will never do with SE at the helm.

holy frick you are a moron...I said most and you give 2 current examples and 1 historical one...you are stupid

Dude those were the ones off the top of my head. Since you say mos, go do the fricking research and prove it instead of making generalized statements and then telling other people they're dumb when they give you facts to the contrary. frick you are dumb.

Go get me the defensive and offensive rankings of the top 10 teams from the past 10 years and then let's talk. Until then STFU because you have nothing to back up your statement.

ETA: LSU 2007 to those teams that had a top offense and defense and won a NC.

We're stuck with Ensminger, sadly.

Would a better OC produce better offensive numbers with this same LSU team this year? That is the only question that matters. And the answer is yes.

And don't look now, but the times are different. Bama is running a modern offense. This is what brought ole Bert down. He tried to out muscle teams with a lack of talent. LSU will never out muscle Alabama. We have to think outside the box.

Let's not forget that not only would they be more rested but they would be able to play more aggressive. The reason being if our offense turns the game in to a pass only to win it would really let our DBs shine and play the ball instead of reading run or pass.

Key takeaways:

1) "UH lost Saturday ... "
2) LSU won Saturday

Just another day at the office for the Tigers.

Yep. I love that we won.

We still need a new offensive coordinator.

Since we've never crossed paths either here or in real life, this response has as much basis in fact as your original comment.

Funny. If Saban thought like you, he’d never have brought in Kiffin to restructure his offense.

Nah, he's just assuming that you're apart of the maybe 10-20 percent of the fanbase who cares nothing about how to improve things.

Even people saying that only talent is an issue still want to improve things. They're just not going about things in the right way.

You on the other hand don't care about improving. Sad really.

Yep. Just like when your car engine is overheating and sounds like it's about to blow up on the way to work in the morning. But you didn't pull over and the car survived to still get you there.

You made it safely. So to hell with fixing it if it still runs.

LSU's offense is all good since we won. No worries.

We get it. This man wants to continue to take the conservative approach when it comes to offense.

He's probably a stubborn old fool and he will never change. Can't do anything about it.

Well, the same poster was highly critical of conservative offenses under Les, he started a thread after the Southeastern game calling Ensminger's offense terrible, and he just said Canada sucked in another thread.

After reading his arguments against "Big XII" offenses here, I'm not sure what he wants.

I think it's pretty obvious then. He wants Ed O. He wants to back up anything Ed O does. No matter how bad. That's upsetting. I wish some of the fan base were different, but there's nothing we can do about it.
