I don’t recall anyone saying LSU was a “rebuild”. It was a retool, get a QB and an OC and utilize the stockpiled talent.

Jimbo will have a very long leash and years with an open bank account to build the Aggie football program into a power house team.

The Aggies with the huge buyout have stamped this in stone, Jimbo is going no where. College football is all about getting the players on campus and looks like the Aggies are in line for a good 2019 class.

This is all about the amount of money [buyout] spent on Jimbo

Coach O had plenty of depth/roster issues.

I agree with this, but Jimbo had half the top-end talent that Orgeron had, hence the seven losses in a row to LSU.

I'm withholding judgement until he's had a couple of years under his belt. I'd love to believe that he's already a "failure" at aTm, but he's not even done with his first season. He definitely seems to have hired the right guy at DC, as their defense is no longer a joke. And JF seems to be recruiting well. Our game at aTm this season will be no picnic.

Overwhelming, this board did not give O any excuses.
Revisionist history here.

Didn't about half the offensive lineman transfer out? I want to say five or so. That could leave you with depth and talent issues.

Nick Fitzgerald threw for 230-plus yards against them. Four-interception, 56-yard Nick Fitzgerald.

True, but I think it would be a mistake for LSU to take them lightly. The game will be in their house and they will be fired up to end their 7-game losing streak against us.

I will say that I wasn't all that impressed with the Mond kid's passing against Mississippi State. Mond is talented, but he doesn't scare me that much. Our secondary shouldn't have big issues defending against his throws.

He’s gonna go 8-4 with the same team Sumlin went 8-4 with annually.......that’s results

In O's first year he went 9-4 with the same program that Miles was taking to 9-3.

Let's see what Jimbo does next year - it's not exactly like he lacks skins on the wall.

“Fromm just played poorly against LSU.”

“Fitzgerald really struggled against LSU, had no accuracy.”

Noticing a pattern? We coming, Tua.

He left FSU loaded with talent huh?

He’s a piece of shite that used negative recruiting tactics about the stability of LSU and got a lot of recruits to buy in to the “FSU family.” Marvin Wilson was literally in tears on signing day because he knew he wouldn’t go to his childhood dream school. He was manipulated by this guy. Then Jimbo jumps ship and leaves these kids in a program that isn’t what he sold them. He’s a liar and a joke. I hope we crush them and I can’t wait until he’s retired/fired. (Hopefully it’s the latter)

Fun facts:

Yes he deserves criticism for aTm's failures so far this year.

Yes he deserves criticism for the state he left FSU.

Yes he is recruiting VERY well and beating Herman in that battle atm.

No you can't come to a final judgement as to whether or not he will fail at aTm.

No the season is not over.

No he's not going anywhere for at least 2 more years.

So sit back and see how things play out.

I would not take him over the O and Aranda combo, though.

If we give him the benefit of his first year we must also look at the condition he left FSU.

Some people don’t want to admit that cheeze dick was a NC coach due to cam the same way jimbo won with Winston.

The funny thing is that A&M was duped the same way into signing sumlin into an extension due to manziel.

Apparently not if you don't think that the board wasn't taken over by negas attacking anyone and everyone considered sympathetic to coach O or his staff. People were apologizing for being supportive of the coach.

This is completely true!!! I mention our SEC record was the best since 2012 and we should be patient since our record was trending up and I got crucified. It was 24/7 obsessive O and E bashing. OBSESSIVE and unrelenting. People who made THOUSANDS of post of how terrible O and were sabatoging our recruiting MIGHT now say “oh, guess I was wrong” once. And those people with thousands of negative post would say sh_t about me posting because they said I hadn’t posted enough to be valid! I happily lurked for years, but had to start posting because the obsessiveness was so bad and a terrible look for our tigers.

C'mon man. If Orgeron took over a rebuild and people used the first year excuse for him, then the aTm coach in his first year should be afforded the same luxury for damn sure.

I wonder if Taggart is getting the same benefit of the doubt with the rebuild job the previous coach left for him?
