Which is likely why he's a "former" SEC official.

Hey guess what...no one gives a rat's arse about that one in isolation. It's only important as an illustration of the obvious double standard.

Even if they HAD called it on him, he'd be good to go for the game against LSU anyway. But at least they'd have some semblance of integrity left...

Calling one while not the other, given both were reviewed by the same group in Birmingham, is the issue at hand.

Do not forget the one early in the Auburn-Ole Miss game.Initially called 'targeting' which even many Auburn fans agreed with -- but was overturned. Merely an Ole Miss incompletion.

All 3 -- same day.

Moscona is a lying pos. I knew even before Monday that he was going to defend the awful call against White. He deserves to have his face punched in. He's a fake LSU fan.

The ex-referee offering the opinion is a UGA grad who is a personal-injury lawyer in Mobile...and he's the guy who blew the Patrick Peterson interception call in 2009.

quote:

What is the most memorable game you have refereed?

I did the Alabama versus LSU game in Tuscaloosa in 2009. It was an intense game between two top teams. I was involved in a controversial play when an LSU defensive back appeared to intercept a pass, but I ruled him out-of-bounds. The official who was supposed to make the call was blocked by an LSU defender, so I had to do it from about 25 yards downfield. The rulebook says, when in doubt, it’s an incomplete pass, and I had plenty of doubt. (Editor’s Note: Replay officials upheld his call.)

Oh yeah, he loves to brag about his "ratings." The simple fact of the matter is he's the only show in town at that time slot for matters related to LSU. So he forgets to point out that he has no competition (sort of like Alabama's schedule so far).

yes,and the replay was upheld by none other than Dick Burleson, whose website at the time stated about his speaking engagements and close ties with the University of Alabama --- which was deleted the Monday after that game.

Burleson ,of course, was the bastard in '89 that decided to give Florida one more second.
