I really like him but he has mouth problems that always take me out of the movie for a second.

It's not a lisp, but his tongue looks like it gets in the way... it doesn't...but it looks like it does.

Plus his upper lip doesn't move that much, then combined with the fat tongue thingy...I drop him a notch because I shouldn't have to analyze this during a movie.

Mississippi Grind made me take notice of him.

I don't know of anyone that is acting at that much of a higher level than Mendelson.

His character was not remotely lovable to me. Linda Cardellini, all kinds of "lovable"...

I’ve only seen him portray a criminal or villain or otherwise deplorable character

He’s underrated, but pump the brakes on most talented working right now

Agreed.

Just off the top of my head, Tobias Menzies is highly underrated as well. His dual roles in Outlander as Frank Randall and Black Jack Randall was incredible. He was great as Brutus in Rome. And I have the sneaky suspicion he’s going to be fantastic filling Matt Smith’s shoes as Prince Philip in The Crown.

Just watched it. Great movie. Your boy was solid as George but there was several fantastic performances in that one.

Other than Mississippi Grind, he hasn’t given the best performance in any movie I’ve seen him in.

He’s probably the most type cast actor at the moment. Need an obvious a-hole? Mendelson.
