I hate how posters throw around the word “miserable” all the time to describe various levels of concern fans may have for this season...I think it’s misdirected.
But THIS...this is truly miserable.
It’s LSU football. And it still could be great. No matter who the coach is or what happened the year before, you should always be excited for the upcoming season.

Yeah im always excited for Lsu football, even if I dont have loads of faith in the guy running running the show.
That said, I certainly don't get nearly as excited/emotional about LSU football (or any sport, really) as I used to in high school and college. Just the way it goes, I guess.

"I read where someone predicted that LSU wouldn't win the national championship".
Since I am a casual fan and never really followed them before anyway, I don't care about the upcoming LSU football season anymore (and never really did). Anyone else not give a crap because they don't care about LSU football and what the internet says?

My excitement started to dwindle with Miles in 2014. Then 2015 it really went down. Then four weeks into 2016 season I was really excited again thinking we were going to go all out and be serious about winning again. We all know the rest of the story and my excitement turned into dismay at the incompetence of the LSU administration. Now I'm back to being just a fan and not emotionally invested in LSU football anymore. I'm happy when they win and don't get upset when they lose because my expectations are way down.

I'm not an O fan, but I'm as excited as hell. Two of our first 3 games are huge.
Now, if we start 1-2, the bloom will be off the rose and I'll get frustrated, but I LOVE football season, so I'm excited.
