Last night, I made three $20 bets with “friends” that he coaches for OSU this year. I think he gets suspended a few games but survives.

My initial thought was he'd survive.

After seeing the changes to his contract re: reporting shite just like this...I think he gets canned.

After the videos with those UF players, I think this drags on a bit longer. I suspect the school will keep him suspended and do an investigation - if they find similar practices from him at OSU, they'll use that as leverage to fire him with cause - no severance, no buyout, nothing.

90% of coaches this is enough to fire. I think Urban currently survives with the information we know. Something like a multi game ban and major fine like $2 mil of his contract or something.

But what we don't know is what else is out there. What usually gets someone like Urban fired here is that Urban tells the administration there is nothing else he knows about, makes a presser to that effect, then a reporter finds something new and the coach is canned.

ETA: What is taking time is they are figuring out what all is out there and how bad it is.

Just spitballing.......Proving Meyer was aware of 2015 may be difficult. Mrs. Meyers is toast as an employee of tOSU but unless there is hard evidence proving otherwise she can swear under oath she kept all of this to herself. Yes/no ?

If this was a strictly legal matter I would agree, but it's up to tOSU and whatever rules they decide to play. Seems his contract is worded to make his firing an option but not a necessity. Like others have said, will come down to the administration and those who pull their strings. Maybe it's all forgotten in a year, maybe it goes full soap opera and he's the headcoach of Michigan in 2019. Lets see how it plays.

Honestly when you’re as good a coach as him they won’t get rid of him. I’d be surprised if they even suspended him a season.

Not fired. This is not a title IX issue for him. He still looks bad, but he apologizes and then maybe gets fined or suspended for a game.

i think urbs told someone up the chain of command and lied to the media because it's not their business. this happens all the time.

the media has this silly sense of entitlement, and i couldn't care less how they feel about being lied to. bunch of clowns anyway.

i feel for the guys ex-wife, but people need to file charges when things happen.
