Quidditch is supposed to be silly and outlandish. The rules make little sense; the game can go on indefinitely if the snitch doesn't decide to show up. The books make references to this. It's not supposed to be soccer or football.

What I've found interesting is how most of the wizarding world works for the Ministry. So their government is the basis for almost the entire economy, which is a very European thing to do.

Yeah, but it's utterly ridiculous that there's a way to score not only 15 scores but also end the game. How would you feel if your football team was up 42-0 but then some guy on the other teammade a kick that was not only worth 45 points but also ended the game?
She clearly has no ideas how sports work because that makes literally everyone else on the team worthless. It was designed to make Harry more important not with actual rules in mind. Any editor who was into sports would immediately tell her to go back to the drawing board with Quidditch.
