So far in May:
Seveneves by Neal Stephenson - Sci-fi epic that ended up being a slog to read.
The Iron Circlet by Phil Tucker - book 4 of 5 of his Chronicles of the Black Gate series. Well done indie grimdark.
Blackflame by Will Wight - the third installment of the Cradle fantasy series. Very good.
Red Sister by Mark Lawrence - newest trilogy by Lord Grimdark himself. Good, not great.
City of Miracles by Robert Jackson Bennett - inventive conclusion to a really good trilogy (The Divine Cities).
The Crimson Queen by Alec Hutson - another really good indie grimdark novel (part of a planned trilogy).

I listened to a podcast where Stephenson was the guest a few months ago and he talked about the book. It sounded incredibly interesting.
Was the pacing bad?
