Just got listed on Coinbase yesterday and Binance soon to follow. Think I’m gonna ride it a little longer just to see if it can take out SHIB and possibly DOGE in market cap.

You'll be able to buy it at a 50% discount in the next 6 weeks or so.

I've jumped on and off. I never put more than $100 on meme coins though.

I think it's done. I could be wrong though.

Bonk is dead- get on Snek ASAP. has 10x-40x upside potential. The Cardano cult will have it's day in the sun. It won't go has doge, but it will out-do bonk.

Did it and got 97% swap, I’m not doing kyc for their app and I’m betting LA will be not approved as well.

Anyone else get in on $COQ on avax?

I’m up 18x and just riding out with a few billion coins, hoping it pulls a $bonk. It’s been listed on 2 exchanges last 12hrs.

The recent ledger fiasco brought up a topic that I saw mentioned over the weekend that I'd like a little clarification on. Apparently people that have been DCA and making regular purchases weekly or monthly are getting hit with enormous fees at sale because of something based on the number of overall transactions they've made with their wallet. Am i understanding correctly that if you transfer an amount of BTC from a cold wallet to a central exchange, there will be a fee based on the number of overall transactions made? I was a little unclear on that. It's been hammered into the newcomer's head "not your keys not your coins" ad nauseum so I know getting your stack off of exchanges and onto a cold storage is what you're supposed to do, but apparently you shouldn't do it in too many transactions? I feel like I'm probably missing something or not getting that right.

i laugh when folks spew the old "not your keys..." or "be your own banker" lines and talk about how banks are the bad buy, but if you really think about it, crypto is really an archaic form of banking. however, that doesn't keep me from investing because this isn't about being your own banker or being in control of your own money. it's about making money. no different than the stock market.

want to wire funds to your family member's bank account?
plug in an account number and routing number and maybe pay the bank a fee.
bank is in control.
any screw ups, the bank can fix.

want to send crypto?
plug in an address and pay the miners a transfer fee.
you're in 100% control.
any screw ups, that's on you.

but to answer your question, yes, you want to have a nice egg to transfer in one go instead of multiple tiny eggs in multiple goes.

Correct, bitcoin fees are based on the number of bytes per transaction. Fees are usually listed as number of sats per byte of the transaction. The more UTXOs involved, the more bytes. Using round numbers as an example - if you made 100 purchases of 0.01 bitcoin and sent each purchase to cold storage, then at a later date wanted to send your whole 1.0 bitcoin from cold storage to an exchange or another wallet, there would be 100 UTXOs associated with that 1.0 bitcoin.

While "Not your keys not your coins" is important, proper UTXO management is also important. Taking advantage of low fee times to consolidate your UTXOs into 1 or a few transactions is important. Also, sending $100 of BTC at a time to cold storage is not the smartest way to do it. Build up a stack on a reputable exchange, then withdraw when you hit a certain level. The ship has sailed on the really low fees so now just keep an eye out for when the are not ridiculous.

I mean - it was 0.065 on bsc and 0.075 on eth, I’m ok taking the 3% swap fee when I got a 15% discount vs eth.

You can buy on uniswap too

Yeah. One key difference. The bank can place a hold, deny it, or reverse it. And it takes days to fully settle. Yes, they can float it to you faster, but not fully settle.

But yes. 99.8% are here to make money, not transfer payments

No but I almost bought some Fideum straight up earlier. Didn’t have a ton of time for due diligence. Think it’ll be a mover? I don’t know much about bbank
