Chelsea's was my stomping grounds back in the day

Loved Chelsea's and Brightside. Forgot about the Cove, though that came during law school. Also 80s night at Spanish Moon was crazycakes. Also enjoyed Northgate occasionally. Ivars, Duvics and another one in that area whose name escapes me. Occasional trips to Uncle Earls and Happy Note as well. Obviously the Chimes, too. Less frequently we'd do Boudreaux and Thibodeaux's.

God damn, I forgot about all those places. The overpass bars were my jam for a while.

Good call. Place was great for pool tournaments.

Sports, Fred's and the dance club in downtown although it didn't last long.

Was that place The Art Bar at one point?

I think it was called Cypress Hollow when it first opened but it might have been also called The Art Bar somewhere along the way. That name fits it.

bogies. Went there as often as I can. I remember once the sunday laws were lifted, I hit it up something like 21 days in a row.

I've got the logo tattooed on my arse.

I was going through a psychedelic phase and I remember being in there wearing a Soviet Army winter coat. There was a dalmatian behind the bar as well. Pretty sure it was called The Art Bar at the time.

Bayou and Magoo's. During my time at LSU (1978-82), there was a Plasma Donation Center right above Magoo's. Would go there twice a week and then walk right down the stairs to the bar to spend the money. Good times!

Northgate tavern. I drank many a beer on that porch.

Also the chimes at 11 am... That's my spot.
