One other thing. Since you say you really won’t be poling, usually the main shallow water restriction is the trolling motor. The normal trolling motor prop needs about 10.5-11” of water to operate.

On my 24v minkota, I swapped the prop with a 4 hp plastic outboard prop with a 6.5 inch diameter. My poling skiff floats is about 7 inches fully loaded with 2 people so it’s a perfect match.
