Really appreciate this thread. I've had questions on how the leagues work and this helps. With help from Wiki, I think I figured out Champions league. Let me know if I'm off.
Each European country has it's own league. The top teams in each of these leagues get to compete in the Champions League. That's how teams like Arsenal and Barcalona get to play each other. Is this correct? Also a few more questions:
What is the name of Spain's league? This is where teams like Real Madrid and Barcalona play, correct?
Is Champions league played every year? What's the name of the cup / trophy? I'm assuming that this should be considered top honors for a club to win, right?
