Well they already had all the momentum in the game so not that.

It's simple, we could've played for the win, instead we played for the loss. Our coach is a loser. If you agree with that call, you too are a loser.

Im sorry you are not very good with math or as you noted "all those numbers"

But playing for a win instead of a tie/loss is exactly what deciding to punt was.

Momentum is not gained by play calling. It is gained by execution of that play calling and successful outcome of the on field athletes efforts.

Stacking the odds against your team, the players on the field, in an effort to gain momentum is simply stupid.

Miles already accepted "finishing second" and was trying to minimize the extent of Bert's anal abuse

If we dont convert, we probably lose the game, which we lost anyway. It was obvious to me that we werent going to get a 3 and out on very many of their offensive possessions and they were letting the clock run down as much as they could. The truth is, you play it by feel if your the coach and if you think you need to go for it, you go for it. When we did get a stop on them, it was never a 3 and out, they always made a couple first downs first. I had watched them go up and down the field on us for over 3 quarters, when we had the ball with a chance to get back in the game, i would have tried to keep it. Either way we got our arse kicked, not sure it matters.

Bleeding purple, it was 4th and 3. Then we intentionally took a delay of game to make it 4th and 8. So OP is correct

ETA: Just checked, it was just a normal 4th and 8.

Kathy Miles had a football square with an "Ark 1" and "LSU 4."

Every possession Arky had takes about 4-5 minutes off the clock minimum. It was ridiculous to punt even at 4th and 8

Will never understand why this even happens.

They had one drive of over 4 minutes in the game.

It's inexcusable. And it happens far too often.

Was it the only drive they didnt score in 35 seconds on? The only way LSU got Arky off the field in a quick fashion was by allowing them to score quickly. That wasnt going to work in this scenario

All I can say is, if you guys didn't see this coming early on, your hearts are blinding your eyes. Defense was never up to par, every offense they faced moved the ball at will. Plus the QB to bring the Tigs to the promised land ain't on campus yet!!!! That's about it...Plus keep buying those season tickets...as long as CLM is hosting the party for 102K+ nothing will change....

You mean like the one where LSU forced an Arkansas Punt and their drive was only 5 plays, 20 yards, 2:33?

That was the drive right before the LSU drive ending in punt that is in question.

Ahhh, so we should use that one drive instead of the arse pounding Arky was delivering all night long

Or you could just use the readily available factual information instead of talking out of your arse.

We got beat and there are plenty of things to bitch about without resorting to making things up.

You should probably just stop while you're behind.
