OleBallCoach...I'd advise against the new Moultrie models, especially the A-7i. I've just sent seven back that I bought. There is apparently a high chance for the units to leak rain into the battery compartment. I had a couple units out and when I went to check them I opened the battery compartment to pull the card and water flowed out ruining everything. Others are having the same issue.

Also before I bought them I assumed they would have a battery indicator like every other old Moultrie model but they do not so you don't know if you need to replace the batteries. You could change the card, restart it and it die shortly after and you have no pics until your next check.

Best bet is the older models that I've had lots of luck with including the M-880i which can still be found.

No battery indicator would be a deal breaker for me. I wouldnt even have thought about them not having one. Every camera I have ever had showed the battery strength, even if it was just a 4 bar scale.
