Frick it, I'm over the loss (before the game ends)

It was over from the first play so I was over it by the beginning of the 4th. It is accepting reality not sunshine pumping.

- This was a good loss

no loss is a good loss. If we were going to lose, a beat down like this is preferable

- We're gonna smoke Seattle in a rematch

Yeah, I hate these

- Carolina better watch out!!!

I hate these more.
quote:

- The refs beat us

blaming the refs for even 1 point on that board is some SR shite. I hate people who complain about the refs unless we're talking 08 vikings game
quote:

Seattle got lucky

This was annoying me last night, but it is true to a much smaller degree. You cannot shite stomp a 9-2 team like that without a little.
quote:

- Adios Bandwagoners! True fans only

I don't see your problem with this. Do you know how many drunk WT LSU fans jump on when the saints are good and then the moment they have a game like this, stop watching, caring, etc...and it is no different on a board

BTW, you and unknown poster. I get what you are trying to say, I really do. This board doesn't take criticism well at all until we lose. People gang up, etc. I got stomped for saying our receivers played with zero passion or energy on TNF. Probably could tone it down because sometimes I'm not sure if you're trolling or what.

The problem isn't sunshine pumpers vs negative nancies, it's over-reactors. This isn't college football, teams are very closely bunched together talent wise and sometimes if things start going badly it gets out of hand quickly like what happened last night. Are we as bad as we looked last night? No. Is Seattle as good as they looked last night? No. Not to say this couldn't happen again if we played them in the playoffs but I would be very surprised if it did.

I fully expect to see a different performance Sunday night vs Carolina. Does that make me a sunshine pumper? Yes we have issues, every team in the NFL has issues. But if you look at the entire season and step away from the last thing you saw, you would see we have both a top 5 scoring offense and defense which to me indicates we have a very strong football team capable of beating any other team at any time which really is all you can ask for in the NFL

I agree, I wouldn't be shocked if we housed carolina, I also wouldn't be shocked if they housed us now though

However, the reigning logic last night was...we got our asses kicked = we are going to kick carolina's arse

that's just silly

I'm impressed. You contributed a post that was more than three words, well thought out, and free of any jabs at me.

Maybe there is hope for us

I can be well thought out whenver I feel like it. During the game I don't have time for more than 3 word responses.

Been the case all year. This 9-3 record so far is a testament to Drew and to Rob Ryan's D.

I didn't get to watch the game last night, but from some of the posts I have read it was bad.

what I will say is that 1 loss does not wreck a season in the NFL - unless its in the post season.

everyone needs to relax and take a deep breath. we are still division leading, and were still in good shape to make a playoff run.

besides - its not how well you play all season, its getting hot at the right time and running with it through the playoffs...I mean it worked for the Giants.

Being as objective as possible, 9-3 is a miracle considering that

*the WRs are a so-so Colston (for him), a washed-up Meachem, little or no Lance Moore, and two rookies--one of whom can't really catch a football

*the offensive line sucks

*the running game is bad

*converting 3rd and 1 is like a 50-50 or worse proposition

*Hartley is average

*the entire secondary hasn't played together all season

Oh....you have no idea. Tulane Stadium era Saints bad.
