Mills is a stud. We have Claiborne junior coming and Brazil too. We will be just fine. Collins needs to step it up.

Simon got some looks as a freshman just like the guys we have now did. We all knew that Claiborne, Peterson, Reid, Simon, and Mathieu would likely be done in 3 years approximately 2 years ago. We got the underclassmen some significant playing time to come in and replace them next season. Also, maybe Willis or White (possibly both) will be ready from Day 1. It happened for Peterson, Mathieu, and Reid. We'll just have to wait and see.

Right because the NFL draft has always been about production and not potential

Not sure.

Simon was disappointing but the whole secondary was down the stretch. In the next year prediction thread, I said the offense would be better and the defense would be worse, much worse. I think that will come true.

Good luck Simon!

You think any players that were on the fence are going to stay after that 100 play dick stomping against Clemson. That pushed all of them off the fence and made the decision easier.

He will find success in defenses that use a lot of press coverage, with his size being an asset. That, or he will move to Safety.

Good luck to him. I'm ready for fresh attitudes in the secondary. Expect Mills to become a leader quickly now.

Depends on 1) If Logan returns 2) whether we find a pass rush again and 3) whether the DBs mature.

Those are some big ifs. However, stranger things have happened. If all those things happen, we'll be really good on D.

Yep. If we get Priest, I'd say White and Willis will be your backups from day 1. Move Dwayne Thomas over to safety backing up Martin. Keep Eugene as a blitzer, not a true safety.

Wonder what happens to guys like Derrick Raymond and Kavahra Holmes. With the Jalens running as 1s, can these 2 provide any depth or do the incoming DBs leapfrog them?

6 NFL underclass man on Defense, how many play on the other side of the ball? Is anyone paying attention? Why the imbalance? Every year?

After the way that Reid and Simon played on new years eve, if I were an NFL team i would not draft either one.

hopefully no one essential, but there are some that could potentially declare and make rosters.
