BS. He said like 3-4 years ago that if he wasn't done by the time some new Zealand con came around that people had permission to lock him in his cabin and not let him out until he was done. Somehow he managed to accomplish nothing during Covid.
I gave him a pass longer than 99% of people, but I'm done with this dude. He clearly doesn't care about the books anymore (and his fans for that matter) and is just focused on TV shows.

Sadly, this. As a guy who has spent time writing a story, stopped, and then come back to continue it after an extended time away, it can be very hard to jump back into those characters and voices.
