I copied Joe Alleva and Herb Vincent last night on this message that I sent to my tailgate crew.
"We all knew that this was coming. An extra $320 to $360 bucks isn't that big of a deal, however they figured out a way to make this a cumbersome process.
Their decision to not sell the parking permit in advance is another example of potential lost revenue for the university. They could collect the parking fee at the same time that season tickets are due. That would produce additional revenue for the university while allowing the Fans to avoid the hassle of purchasing parking passes before every game.
Instead, we are stuck with a system that will ensure more traffic congestion during game day. Can you imagine the lines involved with 8,000 - 10,000 cars trying to pay cash for a parking space. The traffic jam on Highland road will likely extend to Burbank.
Our friend from Duke is too far removed from the common fan. He simply does not get it."
below is the link to lsusports regarding this development.

Either this or something other than "pay to park" when you get there on Saturday. We've been buying a Lot K pass from a guy for a few years ... works out great for us at this point. But the clusterf to get onto Nicholson from I-10 coming from Lafayette already stinks much less next year ...
There's gotta be a plan developed by LSU before next home season opener.
