The only real issue here is the inconvenience associated with buying the parking pass on the street. LSU should just add the charge to my season ticket invoice and give me a sticker or mirror tag. LSU would get the money in advance, and they can benefit from the interest income. Heck, they can even add a convenience charge to make more money. I will gladly pay it. Some of us working folks are too busy to deal with getting in line to buy anything.

I couldn't agree with you more. This is the biggest issue to me. Also, many people do not understand supply and demand. There are so many more people tailgating now and more continue to come. Prices go up when supply stays the same and demand increases.

Because you told me to. You must be the guy who doesn't pay anything and parties all day. I bet when you do buy a ticket from a friend you refuse to pay the TAF fees. Good, you buy your beer and do your part for the local economy.

must really suck to have absolutley no fricking clue to what you are talking about.

Not now, expect tailgating to be reduced all over campus and nearly non existant for the smaller games.

Definitely, non-existent for the small games. Also, for the 2:30 games even big games. I don't think it will be for any "big" later game.

We should all boycott one game next year. LSU might get the message to quit rapping us.

My group probably has on avg of 120 people who tailgate. More than half just come to campus early and tailgate, watch the game at the tailgate, then head home. We have about 20 (most LSU alums) come from New Orleans who have already said they probably wont tailgate next year. I'm expecting my tailgate group to be much smaller which means less money for baton rouge economy. I'll probably only have 4 tailgates next year instead of 6.

We should boycott ! I'll keep all 4 season tickets and the money to park. Then add on a LSU party room to my house with the money I will save over the years of not going out there.

This is a fantastic idea & I mean that with 100% sincerity. LSU has been leaving money on the table for decades while every other major program has been making money hand over fist by simply doing things that make sense. My wife went to Tennessee & every time we go to a game she still shakes her head & says "I still can't believe that you not only can just drive onto campus on gameday, but you can park for free." Knoxville, Gainsville, Tuscaloosa, Athens...all of these schools are making millions off parking. LSU is too far behind the curve.

LSU fans have been spoiled rotten. From season tickets with no tradition fund donation required to free on campus parking. it has become the right rather than the privilege to get something for nothing.

Time for everyone to wake up & realize that this is the right thing for the University & for Athletics if we want to do all we can to keep up with the rest of the world.

We usually come to 3 or 4 games a year. Pull a trailer from Houston and leave by 5 on Saturday to get to BR by 9 so we can get a spot. Now we have to buy a parking ticket and trailer ticket on Friday afternoon??? That will add one more night and half a day off plus one more car on the road for those that can't take off Friday. Gas $50, motel $140, parking $80, trailer fee $50 or $320/game additional. hmmm, maybe just 2 games next year.

HELLO the school needs money
HELLO you have the money
HELLO its not your property
HELLO everyone else is doing it
Its really not that much and it will help the school so quit whining and pay it, which you all will.

I've parked at all of these, for free. Closer than the majority of these $20 lots are at LSU.

Los Tigres, I have never met anyone or any organization that did not need my money. The list is long.

it's going to be a real cluster .... if they don't sell passes ahead of time. i see no reason not to sell advanced season passes or even pre sell game packages. it's bad enough to have to pay lets don't make it more burdensome.

LSU Athletics is totally seperate from Academics.

However Athletics is reporting as a fundraiser more or less for academics.

People have sympathy for the drastic budgets in academics (the most severe in the entire country) and athletics is taking advantage of that sympathy
