My personal solution, deduct $40 from my TAF donation for every game I attend and have to pay for parking.

So now only the poor, down-trodden masses are true “die-hard” fans? Please don’t improve your situation in life so that you can remain a “die-hard” fan.

We more affluent and wealthy fans could use the extra seats on which to place our Leica and Swarovski binoculars while we politely applaud.

I have 2 guys right next to me that bring trailers and do not go to the game... so they have to pay $50 just to get on campus?

Yes all travel trailers on campus will require a permit for $50

Say you're a Tiger fan in another state that makes the trek to every home game ... they'll NEVER get here in time early enough on Friday to get a pass for parking.

I mean, some people have JOBS ... and can't just take off every Friday during football season ...

And no, I'm not in this category ... just making an observation.

tigert91, Your observation is correct. The out of towners are really getting screwed on this one.

add that up over a season and that is one month's electric in a mild month or a trip to the grocery store. TV is looking better all the time.

Things are going to crash at some point in terms of wins and losses, and THEN let's see who is willing to pay for all this shite.

Just wait until you pull up wondering why the line is backed up all the way to I-10 only to find out that some volunteer high school group is taking money for this and having to use a calculator to figure out the change.

No shite. How is this going to work? Are they trying to get 40,000 cars racing to campus at 5 pm on Fridays?

With the endless bottlenecks this is going to create I'm going to make my fortune helicoptering people in 10 at a time from the outlet mall in Gonzales.

Also:
- the real winners in this are the poor folk who live near Kirby Smith who only charge $20 to park relatively close to the stadium.

- who the frick is going to pay $40 a game to park on the street in front of the Ag Coliseum?

At least we're bitching about something worth bitching about. You're bitching about people bitching on a message board.

Well, you just need to find a new job. If you're not rich enough to take off whenever you want, then LSU doesn't want your kind on campus.

I think one of the main problems this addresses is there are tons of people who do not pay anything to LSU or never went to LSU who party out there. LSU is subsidizing their use of bathrooms and garbage. They also have to be policed. I am not in favor of raising prices but to say it should just be a free for all isn't correct. I buy tickets, donate to TAF and LSU Alum. If everyone who went out there were this way I bet they wouldn't be as worried about the money because they would already have everyone's.

You started out great but then descended into fantasyland. If everybody were paying today, then they would just raise the prices until they ready maximum total revenue.

I cannot disagree with you. It was just an opinion.

LSU has steadily started to class out die hard fans, and leaned towards the fans that are a bit more affluent and wealthy.

I just had to comment on this. Nothing to do with parking but what you are saying here is right to the point. I had season tickets to LSU baseball for 19 years.....1st row by 3rd base. At the new Box the best they said they could do for me is put me in left field. Guess what I told them to do with the tickets?????

There are some but not many. So whats LSU going to do kick out parents of students because they never went to LSU themselves.

However there are some though, however they are still buying LSU merchandise, buying beer and food which greatly supports the local economy. They gain a sense of pride and appreciation for LSU.

When LSU does fundraising efforts they dont care if the person has no connection to LSU or not as long as they donate a few $$'s. For Mike the Tigers habitat they were soliciting from all over. Should LSU have said, only alums and currents students should donate?

Please re-read what I wrote. I said "do not pay anything to LSU or never went to LSU"

Do parents of current students pay LSU? Yes.

Do people who pay into fundraisers pay LSU? Yes.

Because you told me to. You must be the guy who doesn't pay anything and parties all day. I bet when you do buy a ticket from a friend you refuse to pay the TAF fees. Good, you buy your beer and do your part for the local economy.
