Will only give up an average of ~14 points per game.

Montgomery still looks like a linebacker and a 3rd and long pass rusher at best right now with his size..

Too light at the DT position.

Davenport needs to be in there to give us some size inside.

I talked to Davenport yesterday..

He looked trim to me but the coaches told him to get down to 305, said he was about 325 now

This. I think Pep 1st and 2nd and then Montgomery coming in on third to rush the passer. Pep could play the run but had absolutely no pass rush so he gets a bad rap. However Id rather that over Alem.

Tackles TFL-yds Sacks-yds PassBU QBh
Pep 28 8-15 0 4 2
Lavar 23 4.5-21 2.5-16 2 1

I would guess Lavar prob played 1/3-1/2 of the snaps as Pep.

Would like to have a speed rusher on the other side. IMO Edwards needs to be starting on the strongside

No..like I said he looked lean to me, but he's way more beefed up than when he got here. If they told him to loose to 20lbs then he will be losing muscle mass as well not fat

He was injured wasn't he? Hard to manipulate weight when you're injured.

But knowing miles.. Levingston and edwards will start at the ends

WTF does Miles have to do with who starts or plays on defense? Hell...i dont think he decides who starts on offense...but at least he has a background on the offensive side of the ball.

All I know is, we need his arse on that Dline this season, so him, Moffit, and Miles better get thier asses in fricking gear.

Those are pretty good stats for Lavar, and he was a part time player, unlike Pep who started the season.

I think Edwards is a much better player than Aghayere.

Or stop freelancing altogether. I hate to knock the best player on the team, but he was out of control in the Ole Miss game.

Having said that, he is the best CB at LSU since Chris Williams.

This is true, but it has to be put in context of what had just happened earlier with the Bama game. They basically picked on whomever was playing as the other corner (Hawkins/Eugene/Taylor) all day long, and they mostly succeeded in abusing everybody in the secondary except Peterson. He just overreacted a little bit against Ole Miss.

Or you are going to post another rant about them?

I just called Les and he said, "please for the love of goodness, nooooooo!"
