This sounds like the guy - the guy I spoke to said he relocated to Miami, former LSU grad and his dad, just deceased, was a professor in Architecture at LSU. Basically the process he described was that to go to grocery store with western union/ in this case went to minute money in Miami and that money would not be released until the FedEx guy showed me the envelope with the tickets, an authenticated letter from LSU and a parking pass and once I reviewed that I would sign a release form that he had to release the money. What happended is the money was released immediately when did the minute money transaction, he gave us fake fedex tracking number as well.

Same guy tried the same shite with me. Gave me the same story about his dad dyin and all. Luckily my wife and I were both switching back and forth on the phone with the guy and talking to the people at the money transfer place, and we found out that he could get the money immediately upon us sending it, not after he got the receipt or whatever. When we said somthing about it, he hung up immediately. Sorry piece of shite...

What is this guy's screen name? If he did it once then he'll try again. The admins can look at IP addresses so if he comes back under a different screen name but posts from the same computer, they can catch him before he scams again.

Your story pisses me off so much. Crooks that take advantage of people's passions piss me off to no end.

This guy JUST called me with almost exact same story except wanted me to use the debit card isntead of Western Union for the transaction. I suggested going through ebay or an internet site while on the phone that protects us both but he refused and when I told him I wasn't comfortable he became almost rude and very hurried. Just to let everyone know that he is still out there as of Oct 6... Be careful.

I just got scammed by this same miami guy. Name is Josh woods also as Josh Blair. I contacted money gram, my bank, my lawyer, and Miami PD. We have two matches on him. I emailed him and have him till the end of the day to return the money via money gram and to call or email me back the confirmation number. To be honest I hope he doesn't return my money today, I've been told that he will serve time and get my money back if he doesnt.

This is exactly what a guy did to me this week for Alabama tix after I posted on here ... sent me an email from

From: Josh Blair (blairjosh21@yahoo.com)
Sent: Sun 11/01/09 2:33 PM
To: XXXXXX

i have sec gg row 29 i have 6 tickets together,i am not a ticket broker,i am a season ticket holder, please email your home and cell number with area code to go over details

Although I thought it was odd he wouldn't leave his phone number in his initial email, I still replied with my cell number to get in contact with me (obviously before ever seeing this thread). The next morning, I got a call from a "BLOCKED" number. I didn't answer, but he left a message (but didn't leave his call-back number, just said he was calling about the Bama tix and would try me later in the morning). The next time later that morning I got a call from "BLOCKED" and i answered, assuming correctly that it would be him. Sure enough, it was him ... said he was a season ticket holder, had recently been relocated to Miami, his father usually uses the tickets but had recently passed away. He was pushing to get my to buy all 6, but I told him I needed to get with my buddies to see if they gave me the go-ahead to buy the tix. He asked how quickly I could find out, and I told him it could take a few hours. He didn't give me his number or anything, just said he would call back later that afternoon.

I found the whole process akward, strange and simply "something was not right" in my mind. I've bought tickets numerous times from strangers, but this whole situation, from the very first email to the blocked number to his personality on the phone, to his accent, just seemed fishy. I knew as soon as I hung up the phone that I would not be buying from him and I wouldn't be taking his call later that afternoon. Had I known about this thread prior, I would have given him a piece of my mind as well.

I am 100% confident this is the guy others have mentioned in this thread ... and like others have said, HE IS STILL LURKING ON HERE, SO WATCH OUT!

FWIW, he has a New York/New Jersey accent and calls from a "bLocked/private" number.

Filed all the stuff, FBI, everything. Nothing came of it at all.

Fwiw, he used the name Josh Scott. This guy needs to be murdered.

I spoke to this SOB too! He was telling me this bullshite about his dad dying and he wanted to "only get his money back" since he has gotten tickets from LSU for 40 years. If his email is Andy Meyer beware HE SCAMS YOU! Who wants to try to stop him and report him and stuff? Ill do all I can. My uncle is a FBI agent don't you think he can help?
