Will he be Jarrell “Bricks in Backpack” Cherry, or will he be Michael “yeah, I grew a little” Brockers?

Is this the thread where we over analyze a tweet about weight and call him fat and lazy?

Breaux, McKinley and Reliford may be the beginning of a great Dline future for us. Hopefully they can give us some quality snaps to relieve our starters. That’s all we need them to do this year.

Credit to the coaches for seeing his potential as an interior dlineman

First things first….love that the young is apparently dedicated and seeing results. But 282 now equals 270-ish during the season.

What is needed is a handful of guys to play quality snaps at times. Know enough of the system to do your job and Offer a breather for someone else. Take up more snaps in games like Nichols St.

I don't think they do. He's very, very close to being maxed(a criticism of taking him was lack of upside) and 282 is too small to play inside. Not sure he can maintain 300. He's a SDE most likely.

I don't think he will be a 3 down guy inside, but he will be killer on long yardage and 3rd when speed is more important than occupying space.

I’d take a guy at 285 who’s super strong and a non stop motor over a guy who’s 315 and takes plays off

This is so tiring. Mekhi Wingo was listed at 275 at Missouri as a freshman. He’s not going to stop at 282, nor is every SEC player prototypical NFL size.

Mekhi Wingo was 284 at the NFL combine. Mizzou had him listed at 275 when he was freshman all-SEC.

Granted, Breaux is apparently taller than Wingo. But I think y’all are a being little silly with the constant “[insert weight] is too small” comments.

Not every D lineman needs to be 295+ to be effective . A lot depends on strength and quickness relative to the weight. See Wingo and Godchaux.

Looks like 282 Power Cleans to me.

Either way, I like it.

Yup, this is the reason we never got to see Trindon Holiday at DE. Woulda been a first-rounder.
