Do you not understand the difference between not eating somewhere vs not eating somewhere while screaming for that business to be boycotted and shut down?

You can say that again. I developed acute salmonellosis after eating supper at Cracker Barrel I-45 North in Houston on Dec. 7, 2001
Where is your proof? Did you get their food tested? Did other people get sick?
You could have licked your boyfriend’s a-hole and got sick.

They also started pushing alcohol a lot. That isn't exactly what a lot of the family oriented customers want at the table. They can go to a Mexican restaurant or Applebee's for that. It might sound silly, but a lot of their old customers were shocked by it and just want a safe space to take their kids and grandkids.
BTW, someone should check to see if there is any big hedge funds heavily long shorted on them. Also, if they took in any BCG (Boston Consulting Group) executives and board members. It is a pattern.
Destroy good companies for greed and profit.
Big list of Companies BCG might be helping to destroy

34 downvotes on my post, really? I didn't realize Crisco and GMOs were so dear to most of you
It’s most likely because you people eat all this same shite, just at a diff restaurant or out of a box from the grocery.
I don’t go to Cracker Barrel because it’s unhealthy!! But then eats a bag of potato chips.

Likely a planned destruction by "investors" who have shorts on them. It is an evil and corrupt tactic.

Cracker Barrell, Bud Lite……it amazes me how these people don’t understand their customers.
People just don’t want this stuff waved in their faces.

I would describe it as a boycott plus.
Level 0.0: deciding not to patronize a business. We make these decisions every day.
Level 0.5: casually telling others why you don’t patronize that business.
Level 1: Organized, active campaigns to damage said business.
Level Woketard: Organized, active efforts to not only damage the business but also the people who still patronize said business.
Level 1 qualifies but it’s at the low end of the cancel spectrum. Level Woketard is what’s exploded recently and what most people mean when they talk about “cancel culture”, but it’s admittedly analog, not digital.

So Kid Rock posting videos of himself shooting Bud Light cans was cancel culture, but me just choosing to not buy Bud Light because I personally don't want to give my money to AB wasn't.
O.k.
But what if I want AB to fail, but just don't call for anyone else to boycott them? But I really hope they do. Still not cancel culture?
EDIT: I see the very specific and excellent breakdown above and it answers my question. Thank you Flats.

For a company whose success is largely dependent on gas prices, pissing off a good chunk of their customer base when gas prices are really high doesn't seem like a great move on their part.

Cracker Barrel isn’t going broke because of pride chairs. They’re going broke because their clientele has died off over the years and plus their food sucks.

like most places, food quality went to shite after covid. eating out is too much trouble for what you get nowadays.

Never knew that they went woke. Too bad they did haven't gone to cracker barrel in a couple years and now I'll never waste my money there again.

It is funny how a certain demographic gets so triggered by the term woke.
I wonder if they actually cut their sons' peckers off and diddle their daughters like the people they defend or they just like to argue on the internet.

quote:Meh. If they were celebrating traditional marriage it would be fine. We're specifically anti-gay, and that's ok. Hell even California voted against gay marriage
As it turned out, that was not a good marketing strategy, and it had the effect of repulsing existing customers who don’t want country cooking to be sexualized, be it gay, straight, or otherwise.

Post a link to your story, dumb arse. It looks like the decline in Cracker Barrel stock started in the spring of 2021. This was 2 years before their rainbow chairs.
I'm a "Go woke, go broke supporter," but I see no data showing "Go woke, go broke" in this particular instance. Just more BS that gets taken as truth.
