Yeah go back in time and you will see both were in the NOLA Hornets front office. Also worth noting Nuggets Mike Malone was an assistant here under Byron Scott. Perhaps we need to go back to the Hornets days,

Chris Finch > Willie Green. Easy call there. Should have promoted Finch when we had opportunity. I’’m pulling for the T-Wolves all the way. Frick A-Rod. Go T-Wolves.

Will probably look back and scratch our heads why we kept Willie Green and let James Borrego go also.

So many things have to go right for it to work out like it did for the Wolves this year. Front office, coaches, players. And even with that they barely squeaked into the WCF.

Not with Dell Demps at that point in time.

The key to Wolves success is that Ant stays healthy, and it also helps that Denver bench is hot garbage. Denver front office is to good to go a whole season with a bench that bad.

That hot garbage won them a title last year. Meanwhile we still wonder how to get out of first round.

Last year Denver had Bruce Brown and Jeff Green big difference from the trash they had this season.

This is missing the very brief stage of Pels fandom where we all crow about how much better new clown is than old crown.

I liked mike Malone when he was here, but there have been many top level coaches become available the last few years that we should have jumped on. Thibodeau, Carlisle, Buds, Udoka, Nurse, any of these would likely have been light years better than what Griff has hired.

I really like Malone but what he said to that reporter was pretty snobbish. He could have answered the question with a Yes or No like Pop does in his interviews.

Demps effed up a lot of stuff when he was with the Pels. But you learn from your mistakes and it’s not surprising that he’s better his second go around.
And was right about Jrue.

The dude nailed the big trades. Jrue, Boogie, etc. He clearly had pressure from ownership to compete right away which I think led to some bad decisions. The more I see Griff, the more I wish we would have kept Dell. Give Dell the absolute war chest that griff started with and I think we’re a much better team 5 years later
