So if you take away Jackson, the rest of Mississippi is actually a pretty solid state.

If the numbers for the Delta are significantly better than Jackson, that says a lot.

There are a handful of places in Mississippi that are truly awesome. The rest of the state brings them down.

I am currently sitting in a French restaurant on the water in a Jackson suburb. It is beautiful. Healthy beautiful people all around. Business men doing business. Moms and babies taking walks. You would think you are in any upscale area of a major metropolis.

Five miles from me is Jackson, which gives nothing back to this area. Everything Madison has earned is on its own.
