My dog passed last night

My dog blue was hit by a car last night and died.
3.5 years old, the best boy. Half lab and half Australian cattle dog
I rescued him at 6 months old. He had been abused and was scared of everything. And slowly came out of his shell (but stayed scared of grocery bags til the end)
He was the sweetest dog I’ve ever had.

So sorry. It's never easy to lose a beloved pet.

That sucks man...I am sorry
Few things scare me as much as being the one who let our dog get out and she gets run over. My wife may forgive infidelity before she forgave me for that.

Very sorry to hear. Dogs are absolutely the best.

Sorry to hear that and kudos to you for rescuing the pup and having the patience and love to work with Blue and get him over his fears.

I’m very sorry for your loss of your beautiful Blue. Escaping the yard or house is a fear of mine. The love and family you gave him showed Blue he mattered, and he got to know it bc you adopted him. I believe we see them again one day.

My condolences. Cry your tears, it's hard not to. And then imagine a world so amazing that God gave us dogs, the perfect companion, knowing that he would also take them from us quickly, and we still find it to be an essential part of being a fully formed human being. There is something there beyond words.

Sorry for your loss, lost mine to lymphoma two weeks ago today.
Not much is worse than losing a dog. Look at the pictures you have of them and remember the good times.

Sorry for your loss and I’m sending a prayer your way. There’s nothing like a good dog.

I hate seeing this
I have one that's my best friend and has been for 11 1/2 years.
It will be like loosing a family member when he passes

Cute pup. Prayers sent. I dread the day my boy takes the long nap.

Sorry about your pup.
I had to put my lab down last September and very few days go by that I don't think about all the good and bad times we had together.
