I don't think our weather (Atlanta) was abnormally bad last year, but for those in LA, even with the "record" was it really meaningfully different?

It's hot as hell every year and only really noticeable when it's slightly less than scorching in a good year.

Specifically for me in BR, it was a combination of the heat and no rain. Just miserably hot and dry.

The heat all feels the same once you reach 110+ heat index. What really sucked was no rain in the afternoons to cool everything off.

It's not really all that common for us to hit 100 degrees in BR.

We hit 100 like 30+ days last year and got almost no rain. A typical summer, we get afternoon showers 3-4 days per week.
