I waited until 3pm to cut my grass yesterday and it was was pretty damn hot.

It's at least finally recovering from last summer though. I had huge dead spots in my yard even though I watered some.

Every a-hole that complained about our one week of winter should be forced to do manual labor outside June-August with no water breaks.

Why? Hating the cold is not the same as loving extreme heat. Nothing wrong with wanting moderate temperatures.

Says who?

I remember over 10 consecutive days of plus 100 degree heat back in 2000. It's weather, it changes all the time.

I don't think our weather (Atlanta) was abnormally bad last year, but for those in LA, even with the "record" was it really meaningfully different?

It's hot as hell every year and only really noticeable when it's slightly less than scorching in a good year.

Specifically for me in BR, it was a combination of the heat and no rain. Just miserably hot and dry.

No doubt.

I am moving 1JUN from Duplessis LA to Bend Oregon, for the summer.

I asked for help on the travel board but TD is really a bunch of shite talkers that dont provide really any help.

Enjoy the melt.

Hot temperatures nearing summertime in Louisiana? Damn I was really hoping it would be in the 50's this summer.

The heat all feels the same once you reach 110+ heat index. What really sucked was no rain in the afternoons to cool everything off.

The temperature is already reaching the mid 90s and it’s not even June. Oh well. I guess this will be our new normal. Here’s hoping our rain totals for the summer will be better this summer.

seems to me its getting back to normal, seems been a really mild spring so far until this past weekend.

It's not really all that common for us to hit 100 degrees in BR.

We hit 100 like 30+ days last year and got almost no rain. A typical summer, we get afternoon showers 3-4 days per week.

I'll take another brutal, dry summer if it comes with a non-existent hurricane season

Baton Rouge allegedly hit 95 on Sunday

The BR airport runs hot. Drive 12 miles south or 8 miles northeast and it was 5 degrees cooler at both locations.

Yeah that sounds much more like Dallas than what I'd typically think of as BR
