The fact that he let Stormy Daniels testify with her irrelevant missionary position discussion but not Brad Smith is beyond laughable

He also isn't allowing in an email that was sent to Cohen to impeach his testimony, because it is hearsay, but allowed emails only sent to Cohen to be introduced as evidence for the State.

There are a lot of factors in the foundation that aren't explained here. For emails generally, like all other out of court communications, there is always a hearsay issue that has to be overcome.

Trump just said the judge called them in an hour early this morning to prevent Trump from giving a scheduled speech.

This judge is pure evil.

It literally says in the evidence rules in all 50 states and in the federal rules that an out of court statement used to impeach is not hearsay.

Yep. This judge should be removed, disbarred and imprisoned.

As for the expert witness issue, if the other side doesn't use one, that doesn't mean the defense cannot. If the state has presented such testimony, then this is fricking retarded and the defense should seek immediate relief from a higher court.

can't use Brad Smith, an expert in campaign finance law, as a witness because it would "result in a battle of experts and confuse the jury.

Isn't that the PURPOSE of an EXPERT = to educate the jury on UNDERSTANDING the pertinent details of the subject??

I'm confused

The judge ruled that it doesn't matter if he actually violated campaign finance law...just that he had the intent to commit another crime. So, in his view, the expert does not add anything to the equation.

If that's true, that's the Eboni Johnson Rose level stupid.

This judge is unwittingly doing Trump another favor with every decision he makes by adding to his already large arsenal of ammunition for appeal.

Having a conviction hold up isn’t his intent.

Having a conviction that Biden can run on, and a compliant House and Senate can DQ Trump over, is the intent.

A judge with that intent needs to be disbarred.

I mean, I don’t even really think “compromised” is a good word for what he is. I’m all but certain he’d never be anything but all in on the shite he’s doing.

W.T.F. ??

I thought that was an essential cog in the case.

So if he was ACCUSED of "intending" to violate campaign finance law by complaining about poor service at a Popeye's Drive Thru - that it would be OK to bring him to court for without any explanation???????

Don't us illiterates need some instruction on just what the f that means???

All they need is any iota of media coverage to base their NARRATIVE on.

Init is not typical in criminal trials to bring in “experts” to explain the law. That is the Court’s job.

As far as the e-mails are concerned, it depends on their contents and context. ;

Establishment only allows one expert to be involved...and it's the expert they select, who happens to say and do whatever they want.

shite is covid all over again, except at the judicial level.. when Fauci was the only expert we peasants were allowed to listen to. All other experts were basically shut down, out of fear of confusing us pissants.
