1- I loved this show in spite of it. It’s worth a watch.
2- The race swapping took me out every single time it showed up. Every. Single. Time. The showrunners also missed an opportunity to portray the actual racism against Chechens, Balkans, Tartars, and ethnic Asians.
I’m amazed the Socialists in Hollywood didn’t try to portray the Bolsheviks/Soviets as misunderstood idealists who had to turn to tyranny for the betterment of everyone.
I was very pleased to see a show that portrays Soviet Russia for the horror show it was.
