No doubt. There is no way Dallas loses to Minnesota.

They’ll probably beat Minnesota but they’re not beating Boston.

It’s a real tough matchup for Minnesota. Everything Denver did to frustrate them offensively Dallas does better since the trade deadline, and the thing that decided this series was Minnesota’s ability to take away the post game and dive feeds of Jokic in the games they won. Dallas doesn’t rely on their post players for points or generation of offense outside of fast break and backdoor lobs. Dallas plays offense outside in and Minnesota won’t be able to pack it in and win.

Rudy Gobert will be a complete liability in this series, because he’ll spend most of his time either switched onto Luka/Kyrie on the perimeter or deciding between help side defense vs defending the lob. There are no post players for him to lock down this round, all of Dallas’ bigs and wing players are either athletic 3 and D guys or athletic post defenders and lob targets.

Can a player really flop and complain his way to a title? I guess we'll find out.

It’s also worth pointing out that OKC’s aggregate team efficiency was better than Minnesota’s, and their offensive efficiency was SIGNIFICANTLY better (1st vs 16th). And Dallas held OKC over 10 points below their season average, and the Thunder didn’t hit their season average in points in a single game.

Since the trade deadline, Dallas actually has a BETTER defense than Minnesota. It’s the best in the league since then in terms of efficiency.
