Ephemera literature is what I used to really liked to find at estate sales. Most people either don't want it or throw it away. It's getting harder to find because that generation is fading fast. I used to only pick what I really found unique then saw less and less. Maybe it was just the sales I was going to had less? I have a nice little collection. I may have the steamboat one from above. I’ve always done well with uranium glass. It’s very easy to spot, and most people have it marked for pennies, like this lamp for $2. It’s a shame the shade is broken. It could be fixed so it will hang again. I’m thinking they should superglue a ring to the top of it.

I had a friend (he passed away a couple of years ago) who would go to garage sales. He was primarily looking for all the odd literature that showed up. I met him through ebay when I acquired some original marketing literature for a 1969 Chrysler 300 from him. He told me that he often got thank you's from his customers for finding some paper they could not find anywhere else. I thought about him when I saw you VW literature. Someone is going to be very happy to be able to find that book.
