Been currently playing with Callaway X-20's regular steel shafts.
16 yr old technology.
70 yrs old and play in the mid 80's to 90 from senior tees.

hit some titleist T350's with tensei white senior shafts and MAN what a difference. longer with much lower dispersion. the contact is sooo solid.

what other irons to try?

I'll have to hit some as well as Srixon's and Muzuno's...

I’ve been playing the t150’s for a few months and have no complaints.

Got my eyes on some 620 CB’s tho

I have an older set of 695CB irons, I still pull ‘em out when my Apex irons refuse to listen, lol…

There are so many good options for Seniors these days with head and shaft technology.

I went to the Callaway used clubs site recommended by this board, and got Apex irons (not this years model, but brand new) for 1/3 of the price. Love em.

Ping G425 New old stock set with graphite shafts for $771 is a pretty great deal. I don't think the Ping G series is ever a bad choice in the game improvement category. Only question would be if the 5 iron would work for you, my feeling is probably not and a 5 hybrid would be better.
LINK

PXG 0211 is a great deal for $99 a club. You could go 6-GW for $500 with Mitsubishi MMTs which is a good shaft and then 5 hybrid, 9 wood, 5 wood or something similar to get more height in the long end of the bag.

Other good game improvement options:
JPX Hot Metal - $145 each
Srixon ZX4 - $170 each
Ping G430 - $155 each

I don't think the Titleists are a bad choice but they are $215 each with graphite and no better than the Pings, Srixons, or Mizunos and probably no better than the PXGs.

I hit x20’s for 17 years. I played on and off. Just switched to zx7’s. The new irons are much better. I’d give the zx5’s or zx4’s a try if I were you.

Most underrated club available. There are Tour guys that play the 0211 models.

Easy on the eyes and the wallet.
