What year would this have been as far as fast food Mickey D's?

Late 90's?

Prices didn't go completely haywire until after 2020

That was the McDonald's menu when I was in high school so 1992-1996'ish. A quarter pounder meal was $3.23 with tax, or 13 quarters I scrounged together.
IIRC, before that menu there weren't numbers and everything was a La carte.

I don’t know when it was but it was when fast food at least made sense. You knew it wasn’t healthy, but it was quick and cheap. Served a purpose.

It still tasted the same.

My guess would be late 90s. McDonald's and Burger King value meals were 2.99 at least until 99 or so.

I like Wendy's. Still waiting on them to come out with their version of the Big Mac.

I recall once there was a real price war going on with fast food, maybe it was the 90s, when prices seemed as cheap as they were in the 80s

That menu started in the earlier half of the 90s but I don't remember how long it lasted.
McDonald's was the only fast food option for me within 5 miles of my house in high school, so I ate there a lot. No, I wasn't fat at all.
The whole numbered ordering system was such a weird concept at first.

Interwebz says the mcgrilled chicken sandwich was served nationwide in 1993.
The rest of the value meal prices were the same in 92 when I started working at McDonald’s in high school.

I remember being a kid ordering a Happy Meal in the early 90s and for some reason $1.99 is stuck in my head..so I would guess these prices are around 1995. I think around the mid-90s the display board went to these colors as opposed from the yellow and brown boards.
