First, he said every single allegation against him was completely false. Now that we have video evidence, he appears on camera with the somber mood, acting as if he's holding back tears, where he talks about how disgusted he is of his past actions, and he's a better person now.
Pure bs. He can't try and write this off like this was just a 1-time thing. Look at the video again. She was trying to run away, and he chased her with nothing but a towel on. Chances are, she tried to run while he was in the shower. So he ran after her in the public hotel hallway, in order to beat the shite out of her, and then drag her back to the room. It's so very clear from the video that that wasn't a one-time thing, but rather a pattern the victim was, unsuccessfully, trying to escape from.

Thankfully im unable to put myself in the mindset of a scumbag like Combs.. but if i could- i feel like since this is 2024, it would be super duper easy to just say “Hey man, that ain’t me.. it is freaking AI !”… who’s gonna be able to disprove that, with all the weird, realistic AI /deepfakes we see today ??
