Slow moving traffic on I-10 & BW8 (west side), two girls standing behind their car with a flat looked like they were late for their shift at Treasures. I was slowing to help them when this guy in a truck crosses 3 lanes of traffic and nearly takes off my bumper to get over to help them.

I changed one on the side of I-20 once. Never, ever again would I do this. It was the front tire on driver's side so I was next to the traffic lanes. I assumed vehicles would slow down or move to the inside lane. Not so. It was quite the harrowing experience.

In the 70s a friend stopped on I 10 between Slidell and N O East, to help a Woman. It was a black man dressed like a Woman, his friend was hiding in the trees they killed him.

I changed a tire for an Indian (dot) lady the other day. She was very thankful. This was a busy road but I’d be wary about doing that on I-10.

I have a standing order to all in my life--
If you get a flat on Interstate/main highway, limp to next exit and get off to side road. I don't care if you tear up rim, it can be replaced.

A mom and daughter pulled into the condo parking lot in Blue Mountain Beach a year or so ago with a flat and I changed it for them.

I won’t change my own tire on a hwy or interstate, not worth the risk. I call roadside
