Here are the 2 outcomes that can happen from stopping: (1) I help them change the tire, (2) they rob and kill me.

Frankly, I’m not a fan of those odds.

It's all about perspective.

option 3.
offer to share an 8 ball with them at a hotel room nearby and watch them scissor for a few hours.

Can you give me a description of the two young women and then I will decide?

Option 3 is not without danger:

quote:

Four strippers from Memphis and Nashville turned themselves into police for the robbery and murder of a man who originally stopped to help them with their flat tire.

According to reports, Cross bought a new tire for the women and allowed them to stay in his Missouri home while he fixed the car. He was last seen at about 6:30PM August 1, which is the day he died. A witness said he saw Cross arguing with three women while one woman waited inside a white car. The witness then heard a noise and the three women fled Cross’ home and entered the car.

As long as I have the time I would. I changed a young black girl's tire at the gas station a few years back. She couldn't break the lugs and for a second there I didn't think I'd be able to either

I had my daughter with me and it was like a Friday evening. I was pumping gas and couldn't in good conscience sit there and watch her trying to change that thing. She was struggling.

Damn car was dirty as hell though and I got covered in brake dust. No good deed goes unpunished I guess.

I probably would have done the same thing but i would have at least used her Louisiana purchase card for a soda and bag chips for myself and the daughter.

Had a flat once on 190 between gray and Houma around 8 one night.

Changed my flat but truck wouldn’t start from my flashers being on (dead battery).

Had all 3 of my kids and was wondering what I was gonna do when a priest pulled over and I was able to jump my truck and go home.

I often wonder if the only reason he stopped was because my kids were standing in the back of my truck.

If I had been alone I’d have been walking to town and probably been hit lots of speeders on that stretch of roadway and mostly bridges.

I typed that to say I’m very hesitant to stop and help someone stranded unless they have small children

Nope. Strong independent women don’t need no man. 30 years ago…yes. Not today.

I am a female, so, no.
I doubt if I would be much help!
I have AAA now for that if it happens to me., and I would get to an exit before even calling them.
A lady in Utah was obliterated this week while doing that exact thing, another motorist not paying attention and slammed into her.

I long ago had a high speed blowout on 1-10 near Biloxi on a blazing hot summer day. I took my foot off the gas, and eased over to the shoulder. A work truck with three guys pulled over right behind me. The guys jumped out, told me I did a good job controlling it, and were my personal pit crew! It was changed in no time.

I do help folks when it is something I can do (NOT give $$)
