McCain straight up lied to Arizona voters in his last campaign. Promised to repeal Obamacare then gave it the thumbs down. McCain alienated his own voters more than anyone else.

He knew he was going to die so had no reason to represent his constituents.

A true piece of shite.

Lake is a shitshow but Trump has too much hubris to dump her. She’s a loser and turns off many. I’d vote for Trump but not her.

We forget the lessons of past elections. In ‘16, Trump helped get the GOP majorities in the House and Senate, in ‘20, Biden did the same thing, voters supported him and other dem candidates delivering Biden majorities in both chambers. The takeaway is that voters base their choices for down-ballot candidates increasingly on the candidate they support at the top of the ticket.

Trump should stay far away from her. No reason to attach his name to that mess again.
Trump 100%. I would hold my nose and vote for Lake, but honestly, she's an awful candidate that is unlikeable to suburban women.

There are good candidates out there. The problem is loudmouth grifters like Kari Lake saw an opportunity and jumped. Republicans weren’t acting behalf of their voters. There was a void there to fill.

Blake Masters was a brilliant and dynamic senate candidate, esp over Mark Kelly. The GOP had an exceptionally better candidate in 2022 and still lost. Candidate quality is irrelevant largely in modern politics.

They already had the majority in both

The fact that you are now arguing that Trump was a net positive for the GOP in the House in 2020 is progress, I guess. We’ve come a long way.

Trump losing while R's gained House seats is not a favorable argument for Trump lol

Sorry my bad. I conflated Ruben Gallego with Democrat Raul Grijalva's district which is along the US-Mexico border. Also Grijalva has a small area in metro Phoenix which he represents

Masters had little chance of beating Mark Kelly, a very popular incumbent who was regarded as a moderate Democrat. Masters never led in any poll.

Definitely a smart idea. She's the worst, maybe since Alabama tried to elevate Roy Moore

It is amazing how bad the candidates are for the GOP in AZ and GA. These are 2-3 Senate seats we waste because we have fricking retards on the ballot.
