What’s magical about 10 teams vs 11? Why not only 8 or 9? If the committee cannot separate the SEC teams, what reason would they have to set some arbitrary number? The only real differentiator is overall record, so if they leave out anyone it will be Florida, but not because they are capping the number of SEC teams. Have you actually taken the time to look at who the committee would have to invite instead?

There isn't. Just because it hasn't happened before doesn't mean it won't. Before the first time the SEC got 10 teams in, you could say well they've never gotten 10 teams in before.
